What We Provide
Our efforts will initially focus on providing free educational materials to middle school science and high school Biology, Chemistry, and Physics teachers, although this work can expand into additional subjects and/or grade levels.
Daily Email
Teachers will receive a free email each day describing three course-specific current events. Each email will link to the original news articles, article summaries of varying lengths and reading levels, and discussion prompts for the classroom.
Daily Video
A daily video will be linked in each email that discusses the three featured current events in more detail. This will be accessible to teachers, students, and the public for free through YouTube and other social media platforms.
Lesson Helpers
Periodically, additional lesson tools will be included in the daily email. These will typically be visual aids such as graphic organizers corresponding to major world events or classroom posters featuring inspirational role models in the field.
Searchable Archive
All email, video, and lesson helper content will be compiled into a free, searchable online archive that can be accessed at anytime. This tool is perfect for lesson planning!

What Makes Us Unique?
Free, daily resource
Receive three subject-specific current events delivered directly to your inbox at the same time every day. Teachers have the autonomy to decide if, when, and how to use content in class.
Breadth of news sources
Discover rare, little-known current events from diverse news sources including news tailored to kids, local and regional news, and university publications. Global news stories will also be featured.
Captivating news
Make the world feel like a brighter place with modern, engaging stories. We feature unusual, interesting current events that capture students’ attention.
Lesson-specific
Relate the news to pre-set learning objectives. 50+ topic areas corresponding to commonly used textbooks and lesson plans will be tracked for each targeted course to identify the most lesson-specific news.
Diverse role models
Expose students to successful, inspirational role models. Help overcome negative stereotypes by showing students role models that look like them and have similar experiences.
Specialized software
Each day, our software will analyze 5,000+ global news articles from the last 24 hours to find the most lesson-specific, captivating current events tailored for the classroom. Feedback from teachers and our team will continuously improve our algorithms.

Target Market
The goal is to impact as many teachers and students as possible. Content will initially be distributed to thousands of middle and high school science teachers across the U.S. This will include diverse groups of teachers from various types of schools such as private, public, urban, rural, and suburban locations.
Teacher Touchpoints plans to tap into the global market in the near future. Content will be translated into other languages including Mandarin Chinese, Hindi, Spanish, and Arabic.
