Teacher Touchpoints is a nonprofit organization based in Westminster, Colorado.
Mission
The mission of Teacher Touchpoints is to increase student motivation and engagement in the classroom by providing teachers with free, educational materials based on daily current events that are captivating, relevant to specific lesson topics, and highlight diverse role models.
Vision
Teacher Touchpoints envisions all students receiving an education in which teachers meaningfully connect curricula to current events that increase student interest in course material and motivate students to learn.

Tyler Gossett

Tyler is a people person with a background in engineering. After completing her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in chemical engineering at CU Boulder, Tyler followed her passion for supporting students by serving as an academic advisor for engineering students at her alma mater. As an advisor, Tyler was involved in many areas of student support including serving as the chair for her department’s justice, equity, diversity, and inclusion committee.
Marc Ravensbergen
Marc has been writing Java code since 1998. He has used many popular languages including C, Scala, Python, Rust, Bash and also many of the common web platforms and technology from HTML, CSS, and Javascript to JSP, AngularJS, KnockoutJS, etc. He has written a wide range of applications for use on the desktop and the server, including many micro services. Some of these applications include accounting software, web scrapers, 3d visualizations, data importers, database utilities, communication tools, and automation scripts. While his focus is on writing software, he also purchases, maintains, and administrates a number of linux servers/websites and network installations. He prefers to write clean, custom code that is easy to maintain and can be extended and used across multiple projects.
David Gossett
David is an idea generator and strategic thinker. He has over 20 years of experience running his company which specializes in designing, developing, and building cutting-edge technology products and services. His unique skills allow him to work with both information technology and business leadership effectively. David is passionate about curriculum tools design which he’s worked on for over 10 years as a personal passion project. He is well-known for creating visual aids in the form of blueprints to creatively visualize an idea, project, or subject area.

Dixa Gautam
Dixa is a graduate of the bioengineering master’s program at the University of Colorado (CU) Anschutz Medical Campus. She has over 5 years of experience working as a professional research assistant where she contributed to multiple projects related to biomaterials, drug delivery, and material science using various laboratory techniques and tools. Dixa has also supported publishing and presenting research findings in journals and conferences.
Angela Jankousky
Angela has decades of experience in engineering management with expertise in environmental, health, and safety management. She co-founded and managed an environmental engineering consulting company. Angela also has experience in coaching public speakers and writing and editing books. Recently retired, she is now focused on a passion project that celebrates the stories of history’s most influential women.
Gaylynn Mahaley
Gaylynn assists a kindergarten teacher to support students as an instructional assistant. She assists with classroom activities and provides administrative support. Gaylynn helps with the instruction of individual students and groups of students in many curricular areas. She also plans and collaborates with her classroom’s teacher to develop strategies that reinforce skills and concepts based on the understanding of individual students. Gaylynn has worked in education for over 5 years. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her three daughters! Gaylynn also enjoys volunteering, antique shopping, baking, reading, journaling, and spending time in nature.
